5. Disconnect two rods (7) from the two levers (6).6. Remove pins (1) and (8) that hold the shorter brake bands to the longer brake bands.7. Remove pins (12) that hold adjusting rods (5) and (10) to the shorter brake bands.8. Turn two levers (6) 180° and remove shorter brake bands (4) and (9).9. Remove two pins (13) that hold the longer brake bands to winch base (11).10. Remove brake bands (2) and (3).11. Put new longer brake bands (2) and (3) in position on the drum. Install two pins (13) that hold the bands to the winch base.12. Put new shorter brake bands (4) and (9) in position on the drum and turn levers (6) back to their original position.13. Install two pins (12) that hold the shorter brake bands to adjusting rods (5) and (10).14. Connect the shorter brake bands to the longer brake bands and install pins (1) and (8) that hold them together.15. Connect two rods (7) to levers (6).16. Make an adjustment to the winch brakes. See WINCH BRAKES in SPECIFICATIONS.17. Install the shield over the brake bands.
