PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Park and position the machine on level ground. Refer to Image1.1.1.
Refer to RENR9744, Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release", in order to properly release the pressure in the hydraulic system.

2. Unbolt and remove both hydraulic return filters (A), pump suction strainer (B), covers, and the elements. Refer to Image1.2.1.

3. Refer to NEHS0848, Tool Operating Manual, "204-7392 (Air Motor Driven) Filter Cart". This will be used to flush and clean the hydraulic tanks or hydraulic systems. Refer Image1.3.1.
Note: This is an example of filter cart group that is recommended for flushing.
This filter cart group is not claimable in this Service Letter.

4. Disconnect and remove the flush-face quick disconnect couplings (C) and nipple (D) at inlet (7) and discharge (8) hose respectively. Refer to Image1.4.1.

5. Ensure hose (7) and hose (8) are cleaned.
6. Submerge hose (7) into hydraulic oil tank pump strainer inlet (E). Refer Image1.5.1.
7. Position hose (8) outlet into an empty and clean drum (200 liter capacity).
8. Ensure that shut-off valve (2) is in the OFF position before connecting to the air supply.
9. Slowly open shut-off valve (2) in order to start the pumping action.
Note: To vary the pumping rate, shut-off valve (2) can be partially opened or closed.
10. Continue to flush out the hydraulic oil and the debris in the tank until it is dry.
11. Visually inspect both openings (E) and (F) to ensure that no debris is found in the bottom of the tank.
12. Reverse hoses (7) and (8) positions and refill the hydraulic tank with the hydraulic oil from the same drum.
13. Re-assemble the cleaned up hydraulic return filter and the suction strainer and the tank covers.
14. Fill (top up) the hydraulic oil to the required level, if necessary.
15. Start the machine and perform 10-20 minutes of implement movement to observe for any unintended functions.
16. Stop the machine and release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to RENR9744, Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release", in order to properly release the pressure in the hydraulic system.
17. Open and remove hydraulic tank covers (E), (F), hydraulic return filter, and the pump strainer. Check for any debris in the bottom of the tank.
18. Repeat the steps above and continue flushing if debris found.
19. Install a new hydraulic return filter. Reassemble the cleaned up pump suction strainer after completed flushing.
20. Reassemble tank covers (E) and (F).
