5. Inspect for cartridge leaks and dry extended joints. (See Image 1.10.1 for an example of a cartridge leak. See Image 1.10.2 for an example of a dry extended joint.)

6. If the left and right track links have outside thrust bias wear patterns, the links are 15% to 50% worn, the seal exposure is between 1 mm and 3 mm and NO cartridge leaks or dry extended joints were found in Step 5, perform the Undercarriage Swap Procedure.
7. If the left and right track links have thrust bias wear patterns, the links are 15% to 50% worn, the seal exposure has exceeded 3 mm and NO cartridge leaks or dry extended joints were found in Step 5, DO NOT perform an undercarriage swap. An undercarriage swap at this point will most likely not extend the service life of the undercarriage. Continue operation and monitor for cartridge leaks that may develop as undercarriage wears.
8. If the left and right track links have thrust bias wear patterns, the links are 15% to 50% worn, the seal exposure has exceeded 3 mm and cartridge leaks or dry extended joints were found in Step 5, DO NOT perform an undercarriage swap. Perform the attached REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE as soon as possible.
9. If thrust bias wear criteria are not satisfied and cartridge leaks and/or dry extended joints ARE PRESENT, refer to PS51233. If the tractor serial number is not covered by PS51233, contact your Dealer's Technical Communicator and submit a Service Request to DSN. The Service Request should include the following information: Machine serial number, Track serial number, Machine hours, Undercarriage hours, Application and Underfoot conditions, and Picture(s) of the dry joints.
UNDERCARRIAGE SWAP PROCEDURE
1. Following all safety procedures per the service manual, shore up the tractor.
2. Pressure wash the undercarriage if needed for inspection. Avoid spraying water from the high-pressure washing equipment directly on the ends of these cartridges as it can dislodge the plastic plugs.
3. Inspect for cartridge leaks and dry extended joints again before continuing with the Undercarriage Swap Procedure. (See Image 1.10.1 for an example of a cartridge leak. See Image 1.10.2 for an example of a dry extended joint.) If cartridge leaks and/or dry extended joints are found, DO NOT continue the Undercarriage Swap Procedure. Schedule an undercarriage service as soon as possible.
4. Disconnect each track and lay out on the floor, directly under their respective track frames. DO NOT ROTATE TRACK END FOR END, DO NOT (AT THIS TIME) SWAP TRACKS SIDE TO SIDE.
5. Unbolt each track roller on the right side, and drop each roller directly onto the right track underneath the track
