When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
A manufacturing quality issue is suspected within a certain date code range of quad gauge module groups. This issue may cause one or more of the needles on the gauge to stick.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect the following quad gauge module groups in dealer parts stock to confirm if they were manufactured in the affected date code range:

The date code is a 13-digit number that can be found on the back of the part. The last six digits represent the manufacturing date. Refer to Image1 for the location of the date code.
Example Date Code: 1903730092510 indicates that the part was manufactured on September 25 2010.
If the quad gauge module group was not manufactured in the date code range starting at August 1 2010 and continuing through October 31 2010, return the quad gauge module group to the original packaging. Mark the package to indicate it has been inspected according to this program (PI7#####). Return the part to dealer parts stock.
If the quad gauge module group was manufactured in the date code range starting at August 1 2010 and continuing through October 31 2010, remove the quad gauge module group from dealer parts stock.
