Travel On Slopes
When you travel up slopes and down slopes, do not put the front attachments over a side of the machine but hold the front attachments at the uphill side to avoid machine tipping. Keep the clamshell bucket 200~400mm above the ground level to be readily lowered onto the ground. Traveling up or down a slope of more than 15 degrees is strictly prohibited. Also, traveling across a slope of more than 5 degrees is strictly prohibited.Move Machine Control Levers And Pedals In A Smooth Motion
Sudden start or stop of machine traveling or implement operation could cause uncontrolled swing of the clamshell bucket, resulting in machine tipping and/or material spillage. This could result in personal injury. Always move machine control levers and pedals slowly in a smooth motion.Do Not Use Excessive Down Pressure Of Attachments
Do not use the down pressure of boom and/or telescopic stick to raise the tracks off the ground. This will cause excessive force on the telescopic stick, resulting in structural damage to the telescopic stick. Unexpected machine movement could occur, resulting in personal injury.Bucket Capacity
Use of a larger capacity clamshell bucket than recommended by Caterpillar could cause the machine unstable, resulting in machine tipping. This could cause personal injury. Use only a clamshell bucket recommended by Caterpillar.Operation On Edge Of Work Area
Before placing your machine on an edge of work area for deep-digging, etc., make sure that its surface is firm enough for the machine to work there. If not enough, the machine could become unstable, resulting in tipping and/or falling. Always hold the tracks at a right angle to the edge of the work area and the final drives at the rear of the machine so as to readily escape from there.Do Not Operate Beyond Specified Working Radius
This machine has the allowable working radius specified. Before starting operation, be sure to put signs that indicate the maximum working radius of the machine at the work area, in order to alert the operator not to operate the machine beyond the maximum working radius. Machine operation beyond the maximum working radius could cause the machine to tip and/or the telescopic stick tube to be damaged, resulting in personal injury. Always operate the machine within the specified maximum working radius.Do Not Lift Any Object
