Refer to the replacement article that follows.Description of Change: An improved friction disc is now used for the service brake group in production. The improved friction disc has an increased brake retarding capacity. The friction disc was introduced in Service Magazine, SEPD0814, December 2005, "New Extended Life Brake Discs for Sever Applications Are Now Available".Adaptable To: The 201-0737 Friction Disc replaces 105-8750 Friction Disc .Use 201-0737 Friction Disc for all field service. Extended Life Brake Discs can be installed to one service brake group at a time. However, Caterpillar recommends the installation of Extended Life Brake Discs in every service brake group on the machine at initial installation. Installation of the newer brake discs at this time will provide common wear characteristics. This will also improve any inefficient braking performance.The new friction discs are adaptable to the following machines:
