Service Meter Circuit
Oil Pressure Switch for Service MeterRunning Lights
Power for the running lights is from the 10 amp circuit breaker on the back of the fuse panel. It goes to connection 2 on the 7N8010 Running Lights Switch (marked HEAD LIGHTS) on the left hand instrument panel. The switch is double pole, double throw (DPDT) with an OFF position. Power from the running lights circuit breaker also goes to one connection (connection 5) of the front and rear floodlight switch and to the dome light.
Running Lights Circuit - PowerWhen the running lights switch is put in the first ON position, power is sent to the two panel lights, the gauge lights and the tail lights. There is a wire that goes between connection 3 of the running lights switch and connection 4 of the floodlight switch. Because of this wire, if the floodlight switch is turned ON when the running light switch is OFF, the panel, gauge and tail lights will still be turned ON.
Running Lights Circuit - First ON PositionWhen the running lights switch is put in the second ON position, the front head lights are turned ON. All of the lights turned ON by the first ON position of the switch are also still ON.
Running Lights Circuit - Second ON PositionCab Floodlights (Attachment)
Power for the cab floodlights is from the fuse with the identification CAB FLOOD. The floodlights are controlled by the cab floodlight switch.
Cab Floodlight CircuitFloodlights
The floodlights circuit gets power from the fuse with the identification FLOOD. It is controlled by a double pole, single throw 3T1730 Switch. When the switch is put in the ON position, contacts 1 and 2 send current to the front and rear floodlights. When the switch is in the ON position, contacts 4 and 5 can send current to the panel and gauge lights. See the Running Lights Circuit for a description.
Floodlights CircuitAuxiliary Floodlight (Attachment)
There can be an attachment front floodlight that is controlled by the AUX switch (7N8000) on the left hand instrument panel. Power for the circuit is from the fuse with the identification AUX FLOODS, HEATER FLOOR, STOP LIGHTS.
Auxiliary Floodlight CircuitFloor Heater Circuit (Attachment)
The attachment floor heater circuit gets power from the fuse with the identification AUX FLOODS, HEATER FLOOR, STOP LIGHTS. There is a single pole, double throw (SPDT) 1V6652 Heater Switch. The switch has a center OFF position. When the switch is put in the LO position, contacts 1 and 2 send current through a 9G1809 Resistor to the fan motor. The resistor causes a restriction to the amount of current that can flow, so the motor runs slower. When the switch is put in the HI position, contacts 2 and 3 send current directly to the fan motor. This lets the motor run at maximum speed.
Floor Heater CircuitStop Lights
The stop light circuit gets power from the fuse with the identification AUX FLOODS, HEATER FLOOR, STOP LIGHTS. The stop lights are controlled by a 3T1804 Switch. The switch is normally closed before it is installed. When it
