Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.

Use Tooling (A) to remove fuel filters (6).
Remove tube assembly (1) from fuel filter base (2).
Disconnect harness assembly (5). Disconnect hose assemblies (3) and (4).

Remove bolt (12) and the washer. Disconnect harness assemblies (14) and (11) from fuel filter base (2).
Disconnect hose assembly (9).
Remove tube assembly (13).
Remove bolts (7). Remove fuel filter bases (2). Remove bolts (8) and the washers. Remove support assembly (10).
