Valve Calibrations (Raise, Lower, Dump, Rackback)
Table 3
Error Codes That Can Be Activated When Valve Solenoid Calibrations Are Performed
Error Code Probable Cause of Activation Recommended Actions
0002 - Active Diagnostic Present Active Diagnostics present on lever/joystick/solenoids/rotary position sensors or incorrect parking brake signal/engine speed signal. Clear all diagnostic codes related to the components mentioned under probable causes before starting the calibration. Check all ECM's are communicating properly.
103 - Out of Range The Implement ECM did not see a change in cylinder position while ramping current to the valve solenoid. Verify that the correct flash file is downloaded into the Implement ECM.
Check hydraulic hoses for damage and proper fit-up.
Check for leaks
Run drift check
Check pilot pressure during calibration
Check linkage sensor for signs of damage and re calibrate if necessary
10F0 - Calibration Value out of Range Low While ramping current to the valve solenoid, the Implement ECM detected a change in cylinder position. This detection occurred when the current was below the minimum allowed calibration current.
10F1 - Calibration Value out of Range High While ramping current to the valve solenoid, the Implement ECM detected a change in cylinder position. This detection occurred when the current was above the allowed calibration current. Transmission ECM
Clutch Fill Calibrations
Table 4
Error Codes That Can Be Activated When Performing The Clutch Fill Calibration
Error Code Probable Cause of Activation Recommended Actions
0002 - Active Diagnostic Present An active diagnostic is preventing the calibration from being successfully performed. An active diagnostic code for any of the following will inhibit a Transmission calibration:
Solenoid diagnostic code
Speed sensor diagnostic code
Transmission temperature diagnostic code
FNR switch diagnostic code
Park brake diagnostic code
Engine speed diagnostic
The transmission filter bypass is active. Resolve the problem that is causing the active diagnostic code. Then, retry the calibration.
0006 - Calibration Aborted by Tool / Monitor The calibration has been canceled by the user in Cat ET or in the Monitor. Cancelation may cause the activation of the 0006 or the 0009 error code. Wait at least 15 seconds before recalibrating.
0009 - Calibration Aborted by ECM The calibration has been canceled by the ECM. Normally another error code will also be active indicating the cause of the ECM cancelation. Wait at least 15 seconds before recalibrating. Check for another active error code that indicates the cause of the problem and resolve the problem. If no other issues are found and calibration still does not complete with this error code, it means the maximum number of attempts to calibrate have been reached. Contact the DSN, there may have a mechanical issue.
1012 - Engine RPM Incorrect Engine Speed is less than the minimum speed required to continue the calibration. The calibration requires the throttle pedal to be depressed completely. If the throttle has been released by the operator, this error will be the result. Ensure that a valid throttle signal and engine speed is present in CAT ET. Correct any mechanical issues.
1018 - Parking Brake Not Engaged The parking brake is not engaged. Ensure that the parking brake switch is in the engaged
