D379, D398 and D399 Industrial EnginesDescription of Change: A new hydromechanical shut-off is used on D379, D398 and D399 Industrial Engines. This shut-off gives protection from damage caused by low oil pressure, high coolant temperature and too high engine rpm. Sometimes, control cable failures in the former mechanical shut-offs prevented engine shutdown. The new hydromechanical shut-off is equipped with an oil pump to give the necessary oil pressure for a rack shut-off and an air inlet shut-off.Adaptable To: Earlier engines as shown in the chart which follows.
