Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the brake system.
Escaping fluid under pressure, even a pinhole size leak, can penetrate body tissue, causing serious injury, and possible death. If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated immediately by a doctor familiar with this type of injury.Always use a board or cardboard when checking for a leak.

Engage the parking brake. Start the engine. Operate the engine until the engine is in the operating temperature range.
Stop the engine. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.

Install one 8T-0860 Pressure Gauge to the test port for the pump discharge pressure (5) . Attach one 177-7860 Hose As to the test port for the pump discharge pressure (5) . Attach the second end of the hose assembly to the 8T-0860 Pressure Gauge .
Start the engine. Operate the hydraulics to the operating temperature range of 65° 5°C (149.0° 9.0°F).
Run the engine at 1200 RPM.
Turn the steering wheel fully to the right or turn the steering wheel fully to the left. Keep turning the steering wheel.
Read the pump discharge pressure . The pressure should be 16800 kPa to 19700 kPa (2437 psi to 2857 psi). If the pressure setting is out-of-specification, then replace the Steering unit (HMU). The signal relief valve in the Steering unit is not adjustable.
Return the steering wheel to the centered position.
In order to verify the pressure, repeat Step 6, and Step 7.
Run the engine at LOW idle. Stop the engine.
