Service position
Park the machine on level ground with the implements lowered.
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR9860, System Pressure - Release for the procedure

(A) Battery isolation switch
Shut off the engine and the battery isolation switch.

Boom base
Locate the existing hose clips and grommet at the boom base. Refer to the arrows shown in Illustration 3.

(2) 8T-4121 Hard Washer
(3) 5P-7464 Clip
(4) 5P-7465 Clip
(5) 6V-1249 Grommet
Remove existing clips (3) and (4), and existing grommet (5) from the boom cylinder hose by removing bolt (1) and hard washer (2). Retain bolt (1) and hard washer (2) for reuse. Refer to Illustration 4.
Repeat Step 5 for the boom cylinder hose on the other side of the boom base.

Install the new plate assembly (6) onto the right-hand side of the boom base by reusing one bolt (1) and one hard washer (2). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft). Refer to Illustration 5.
Install the new plate assembly (7) onto the left-hand side of the boom base by reusing one bolt (1) and one hard washer (2). Install the new 8T-4121 Hard Washer (8) between plate assembly (7) and the boom base. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
