Remove bolt (2) (not shown).

Remove the three bungs from collet (3) .
Install Tooling (A). Tighten Tooling (A) evenly to remove collet (3) .
Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 for the lower collet.
Remove the pin and the shims.
Start the engine. Fully retract the steering cylinder. Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".

Disconnect hose assembly (4) .
Disconnect hose assembly (5) .

Remove cover (6) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to steering cylinder (8). The weight of steering cylinder (8) is approximately 46 kg (101 lb).

Remove bolt (9) (not shown).

Remove the three bungs from collet (10) .
Install Tooling (A). Tighten Tooling (A) evenly to remove collet (10) .
Repeat Step 15 and Step 16 for the lower collet.
Remove the pin and the shims.
Remove the steering cylinder from the machine.

(1) (6) Apply Tooling (D) to the seal grooves prior to installing the seals. (2) Tighten the bolt to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1330 150 lb ft). (3) (4) Lubricate the sealing lips with the lubricant that is being sealed. (5) Tighten the head to a torque of 600 130 N m (440 95 lb ft).
