Information:

start by:a) remove power packb) remove vibration damper and pulleyc) remove water pumpd) remove belt tightenere) remove fan drive1. Drain the oil from the oil pan. 2. Remove oil level gauge (1) from the oil pan.3. Loosen the bolts that hold the oil pan in position. Remove the bolts that hold the oil pan to the timing gear cover. 4. Install spacers (2) between the oil pan plate and cylinder block as shown.
Do not cause damage to the gaskets at this time. If the gaskets have damage, use new parts for replacement.
5. Remove bolts (3) from the front support. 6. Loosen bolts (4) that hold the transmission to the supports for the scraper engine. Do not remove the bolts. 7. Put tooling (A) under the oil pan in alignment with the spacers. Lift the engine until the front support is off the supports for the engine and transmission.8. Remove four bolts (5) and front support (6). 9. Remove covers (7) and (8) from the rear of the timing gear plate.10. Remove the three bolts that hold the trunnion. Remove the trunnion.11. Remove the bolts that hold the timing gear to the cylinder block. 12. Install two 3/8"-16 NC forcing screws in the timing gear cover. Tighten the screws evenly until the cover is loose. Remove timing gear cover (9).Install Timing Gear Cover
1. Install a new gasket on the timing gear plate.2. Put the timing gear cover in position on the timing gear plate and install the bolts that hold it. 3. Install trunnion (1) and the bolts that hold it. 4. Install covers (2) and (3) on the rear side of the timing gear plate. 5. Install front support (4) and the bolts that hold it.6. Lower the engine with tooling (A) until the front support makes contact with the supports for the engine and transmission.7. Install the bolts that hold front support to the engine and transmission supports.8. Tighten the bolts that hold the transmission mounts to the supports.9. Remove the spacers from between the oil pan and plate. Tighten the bolts that hold the oil pan. Install the bolts that hold the oil pan to the timing gear cover.10. Install the oil level gauge in the oil pan.end by:a) install fan driveb) install belt tightenerc) install water pumpd) install vibration damper and pulleye) install power pack
