Start By:a. remove air inlet manifold It is possible to remove the exhaust manifold without removing the air inlet manifold, however the difficulty is greatly increased. In either event it is mandatory that the aftercoolers be removed. 1. Remove four bolts and nuts (1) which secure the exhaust manifold to the exhaust pipe connected to the turbocharger. 2. Remove thirty two bolts (2) and gaskets (3). During installation, put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of all the exhaust manifold bolts and tighten them to a torque of 55 7 N m (41 5 lb ft). 3. Use a hoist and remove exhaust manifold (4). The weight of the exhaust manifold is 93 kg (205 lb).
