(D) Two 11.11 mm (7/16 in) holes. (E) Two 7.94 mm (5/16 in) holes. (F) Three 50.8 mm (2.0 in) holes. To mount the control panel on the generator, use the following procedure.1. The mounting template is provided at the end of this manual. Remove the mounting template from this manual.2. Place the mounting template on top of the generator enclosure or mounting surface. Align the template with the desired mounting location. The two front mounting holes should be located near the edge of the generator enclosure. This will allow the vandal door to hang straight down when opened. Be sure to leave clearance for the front mounting nut and washer which are required within the generator enclosure.3. Temporarily attach (tape) the template to the generator enclosure in the desired position. Use a center punch to mark the location of the two front mounting holes (E), the two rear mounting holes (D) and the three harness passage holes (F). After all holes are marked, remove the template and store it in the back of this manual.4. Drill or punch the appropriate size holes in the generator enclosure. See Illustration 2. Remove burrs where necessary. When drilling or punching holes in the generator enclosure, take care to keep metal filings from falling into the generator shell. Do not allow any metal shavings and filings to come in contact with internal generator windings or the permanent magnet.5. After all holes are drilled, place one 7C-2675 Bellows Seal (1) in each of the 2 inch harness passage holes on top of the generator. See details in Illustration 1.6. Place the control panel on its back (with vandal door facing upward) on top of the generator enclosure and behind the newly drilled holes. Align the control panel behind the mounting holes so that when the control panel is rotated 90 degrees (forward) all the mounting holes will line up. Untangle the three harnesses at the bottom of the control panel and align them in order with the new harness passage holes.7. The three harnesses should now be aligned with a harness passage hole. Route each of the harnesses through the seal of the harness passage hole with which it is aligned. The harnesses should not crossed or tangled.8. Place the two 5S-3552 Plates on top of the generator enclosure and align them with the two rear mounting holes.9. Rotate the control panel forward to the normal, upright position. Make sure that each of the 7C-2675 Bellows Seals (1) are properly seated around the conduit and adapters. The seals must fit tightly against the bottom of the control panel. The rear mounts should be sitting on top of the two 5S-3552 Plates (4) and the studs of the front mounts should pass through the front mounting holes. If the 7C-2675 Bellows Seals
