There have been reports of a broken tappet spring in the fuel injectors of the above listed engines. The broken spring is causing a low power condition and noises in the engine.Solution
Photos are required for the replacement of the injectors in Table 1. Provide detailed pictures of the broken injector tappet spring, injector serial number and color of any markings on the spring to your Dealer Technical Communicator. Caterpillar will determine if the injectors need to be returned for analysis.
