Removal Procedure
Note: If the ECM is being replaced, download the personality module before you remove the ECM. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Replacing the ECM".
Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.

Remove covers (2).
Disconnect harness assemblies (3).
Support ECM (4). Remove bolts (1) and disconnect ground strap assembly (5). Remove ECM (4). Note: Rubber grommets behind ECM (4) are held in place by the mounting bolts. The grommets help to reduce vibration. The grommets may fall when the bolts and/or ECM (4) are removed.Installation Procedure

Position ECM (4) and the grommets. Connect ground strap assembly (5) and install bolts (1). Note: You should be able to slightly move the ECM (4) after bolts (1) are installed.
Connect harness assemblies (3).
Install covers (2).
Turn the keyswitch to the ON position.
