Test Preparation
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.
Remove tool (if equipped).
Start the engine.
Lower the left console.
Fully depress the service brake pedal until the service brake pedal locks mechanically.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 46° to 60° C (115° to 140° F).
Position the machine on level ground. Check the visibility and adjust the mirrors and cameras for the best vision close to the machine.
Position the upper frame and extend the arm randomly to perform swing and arm retract move tests.
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".
Raise the left console.

Connect pressure sensors:
Attach tooling (T1) 3,445 kPa (500 psi) pressure sensor to pressure Port "MJ" (1) and Port "MF" (2).
Attach tooling (T1) 34,450 kPa (5000 psi) pressure sensor to pressure Port "MP" (3).
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.Test Procedure
Do not run backup pump for more than 2 minutes at 20,000 kPa (2900 psi) max pressure. Allow a cool down period of 5 minutes before starting the backup pump again if necessary. Do not force moves with backup pump at end of stroke.

Engine start switch
Turn the engine start switch to the | position, do not start the engine.
Lower the left console.
Never use backup pump when the Smart Control System runs under "LIFT MODE" as doing so can damage the swing brake system.
On the Smart Control System display, set the working mode to "DIG MODE" and disable swing and height limitations. If not possible, use the override key to the left of the seat.
On right console, press "REARM" switch to enable machine security systems.
Start the backup pump using the "RESCUE PUMP" switch.

Swing lock and work tool control
On the electronic control panel, press switch "0" to deactivate the swing lock and work tool control functions. The light must be off.
Retract the bucket cylinder and keep the right joystick in the full right position.
Check the pressure readings for ports "MP" and "MJ". Refer to Table 1 for the appropriate specifications.
Swing upper frame to check pressure of swing brake release by moving the left joystick to the right.Note: For swing rotation, always keep personnel clear of rotation operating area.
Check the pressure readings for ports "MF". Refer to Table 1 for the appropriate specifications.
Turn off the backup pump.
Switch the engine start switch to the "0" position.
If pressure readings were not correct, refer to "Adjustment Procedure".Adjustment Procedure
If any of the pressures are incorrect, use the procedure below to adjust the pressures as needed.
