Place the temperature sensor in a cup of ice water. After a few minutes, select Item 3 from the "Main" menu. Then press "1" in order to allow the monitor to calibrate the temperature readout. See Illustration 24.Hit "ESC" in order to do the following:
Save the new setting.
Exit the calibration mode.
Return to the "Main" menuClear Overspeed Events - Item 4 - This feature will allow you to clear the overspeed data that is in the tachometer event history.This should be done in the following situations:

Follow the instructions under screen option 4. See Illustration 25. Hit the "Enter" key after any changes in order to return to the "Main" menu.Read History - Item 5 - This feature allows the event history that is stored in the monitor to be retrieved. The stored history cannot be deleted. Approximately 65,000 events can be stored in the system. Subsequent events will write over the oldest data thereafter.In order to view the event history and to retrieve event history, the user will need to access the monitor by using PC communication software (HyperTerminal) as discussed at the beginning of this section.Retrieving the Monitor History

Connect the PC to the back of the monitor by using cable (E) .Start-up HyperTerminal softwareSelect "Transfer". Then select "Capture Text". See Illustration 26.

Choose the data storage location and the file name. See Illustration 27.Press "F5" in order to initiate text data transfer from the monitor to your PC.HyperTerminal will now down load the monitor's stored data into a ".txt" file format.

The event history has now been down loaded to your PC under the file name and the location that you designated earlier. See Illustration 29.The event history can now be viewed and manipulated in your spread sheet or in the document software.

Set the Clock - Item 6 - This feature allows changing of the internal date and clock. Select "Option 6" and change the date and the time accordingly on the PC screen. See Illustration 30. Hit "ESC" in order to save these settings and return to the "Main" menu. The date and time are recorded for each "Recoil Event" in order to guide management of operator and machine usage.View Clock Settings - Item 7 - This feature allows you to only view and confirm the current date and clock settings.

Insert Belt Changed Record - Item 8 - This feature allows you to manually store an event record with the date and time for each belt change. Select "Option 8". Then select either "1" or "2" in order to enter a new date and time into the monitor events storage memory. This will be used as a place marker for future reference. See Illustration 31.
