Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the valve mechanism cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Disconnect the harness assembly from the valve mechanism cover base.

Disconnect harness assemblies (1) from each of the unit injectors.
Remove valve mechanism cover base (2). Installation Procedure

Position valve mechanism cover base (2) on the cylinder head. Install the bolts and tighten the bolts in a numerical sequence to a torque of 12 3 N m (106 27 lb in).
Connect harness assemblies (1) to each of the unit injectors.
Connect the harness assembly to the valve mechanism cover base. End By:
Install the valve mechanism cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".
