Assembly Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install spool (18) and spring (19).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install fitting (17) in the diverter valve. Tighten the fitting to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).

Install O-ring (16), O-ring (15), backup ring (14), O-ring (13) and backup ring (12) on cartridge (11).

Install cartridge (11) in the diverter valve. Tighten the cartridge to a torque of 108 7 N m (80 5 lb ft).

Install coil assembly (9), locknut (10) and the washer. Tighten the nut to a torque of 3 0.5 N m (26.6 4.4 lb in).

Install check valve (8). Tighten the check valve to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).

Install O-ring (3), two backup rings (7), O-ring (6), two backup rings (5) and O-ring (4) on shuttle valve (2).

Install shuttle valve (2). Tighten the shuttle valve to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).

Install the ride control diverter valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Diverter Valve (Ride Control) - Install".
