Install Tooling (A) and a hoist to the cab, as shown. Use Tooling (A) and a hoist to install the cab. The weight of the cab is 1225 kg (2700 lb).

Install four bolts (20) and the washers. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 850 100 N m (625 74 lb ft).

Connect hoses (18) to fittings (19) .

Install the cable in the slot of the bracket. Tighten nut (17). Install the cotter pin and pin (16). Install clip (15), the bolt and the washer.

Dimension (A) equals 6.0 mm (0.236 inch).Note: Failure to hold dimension (A) at installation will cause slipping steering and inconsistent steering.
Position the steering lever and the steering link assembly (13) in place in the machine. Refer to dimension (A) in illustration 7. Install bolt (14) .
Install brake valve (12), the two bolts and the washers to the bottom of the cab.

Install ground strap (11), the nut and the washer.

Install two bolts, two washers and two clips (10) .
Connect four electrical connections (9) to the rear of the cab.
Connect air conditioning line (8) to the rear of the cab.
Connect two heater hoses (6) to the rear of the cab.
Install the bolt, the washer and bracket (5) to throttle cable (1) .

Install clip (4), the bolt and the washer to the throttle cable.

Install throttle cable (1) in the slot of the bracket. Tighten jam nut (3). Install the cotter pin and pin (2) in the injection pump and the throttle cable.
Start the machine. Check for leaks. Check for the proper operation of the steering. Refer to 980G Wheel Loader Steering System, SENR5879, "Testing and Adjusting Section".End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
