Engage the parking brake.

Place the implement control levers to HOLD.

Pull the governor control lever back through the stop engine detent. Then return the governor control lever to LOW IDLE.

Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position.

The engine oil pressure and the alternator indicator lights should illuminate.

Turn the engine start switch key to the START position. Release the engine start switch key when the engine starts.
Do not turn the start switch or the disconnect switch key to OFF while the engine is running to avoid electrical damage. After every 30 seconds of engine cranking, allow 2 minutes for the starting motor to cool before cranking again.

Move the transmission direction control lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.Move the transmission speed lever (2) to the NEUTRAL position.

Fully depress the flywheel clutch pedal in order to engage the neutral start switch.
