The Petroleum Transmission Installation Audit Checklist is designed to verify that Caterpillar transmission installations are performed properly. The checklist addresses the following several areas: engine and transmission identification, assembly, PTOs and pumps, mounting, transmission cooler system, transmission oil system, driveline components, software, controls and instrumentation, installation testing, documentation and serviceability. Caterpillar product service engineers may assist with first time installations. The Petroleum Transmission Installation Audit Checklist should be completed for every transmission installation and returned to the Caterpillar product service engineer that will store the checklist in a Caterpillar database. Any further inquiries concerning the Petroleum Transmission Installation Audit Checklist should be directed to the Caterpillar Transmission Business Unit through the Application Support Center.
