A variable displacement bent axis motor drives the output shaft of the saw. Saw motor (5) is mounted to an adapter plate and coupled to the drive shaft by a splined coupler. Hydraulic oil for the saw motor is supplied by a pump that is mounted on the machine. The speed of the disc saw cannot be adjusted at the saw motor. The disc saw speed is adjusted at the saw pump mounted on the machine.The disc saw rotates at a constant high speed in order to fell a tree. The felling head is powered through the tree. The accumulator arm clamps the tree to the felling head after the cutting is complete.For more information on the saw motor, refer to System Operation, "Cutoff System".Accumulator Arm
