Do not under fill or overfill engine crankcase with oil. Either condition can cause engine damage.
Open the engine access door on the left-hand side of the machine.

(1) Engine oil level gauge
(2) Engine oil filler cap
Remove engine oil level gauge (1) and wipe the oil level gauge with a clean cloth. Then, insert and remove the oil level gauge again. This procedure will ensure a more accurate measurement of the engine oil level.

When the engine is stopped, maintain the oil level within crosshatched region (A) of the oil level gauge. This region of the oil level gauge is between the "ADD" mark and the "FULL" mark.
If necessary, remove oil filler cap (2) and add oil. Clean the oil filler cap and install the oil filler cap.
Close the engine access door.
