START BY:a. Relieve Drive Line Torque Wind Up.b. Remove Trailer Transfer Drive (D350C and D35C). 1. Park the machine on a level surface and apply the park brake. Block the rear wheels. Turn the start switch off and disconnect the batteries. 2. Use the lever extension from the machine tool kit to fully lower the front suspension. Hold the lever in the "lower" position until the hissing noise stops, indicating that the accumulator has completely drained.On two axle machines with rear suspension, lower the rear suspension in the same way.On three axle machines, hold the lever in the "lower" position while opening ... ... the suspension flow control valves. When the rear suspension has fully lowered close the flow control valves. 3. Position stands under the front and rear of the tractor frame. 4. Disconnect the hoist cylinder hoses (1). Plug the hose and pipe ends.5. Disconnect the suspension hoses (2). Plug the hose and pipe ends.6. Label to ensure correct assembly, and disconnect the electrical wires from the junction box (3). 7. Drain the air system. 8. Disconnect the brake air hoses. 9. Remove the center drive shaft (4).10. Remove the pins (5) and swing the steering cylinders clear of the hitch lugs. 11. Install stands under the front of the trailer. Position the stands far enough back to allow for the trailer being moved rearwards, clear of the tractor. 12. Loosen the jam nuts (6) and remove the eight bolts (7).13. Remove the hitch pins using two of the bolts in the forcing holes provided in each pin flange. It may be necessary to lower the rear of the tractor slighly, or raise the front of the trailer to avoid the pins binding due to misalignment between the tractor and trailer. 14. Carefully ease the trailer backwards until the hitch is clear of the tractor frame. The two steel spacers (8) between the top lugs, and the spacer and seal (9) between the bottom lugs may be dislodged as the tractor and trailer are separated.15. Lower the trailer onto the stands. D25C and D30C: 16. Remove the hitch filler and drain plugs (10 & 11) and drain oil into a suitable container. Clean and replace the plugs.17. Remove the thrust flange locking plate (12) and unscrew the thrust flange (13). 18. Install lifting attachment (A) on the top vertical pin flange of the hitch.19. Attach a suitable hoist to the lifting attachment, take the weight and ease the hitch forward out of its housing.20. Set the hitch down on a suitable stand or secure packing. Be sure that the hitch is stable before removing the lifting equipment. Hitch pin and thrust flange adjustment are described in the Operation and Maintenance Manual for this product, which is in the LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE Section of the Service Manual. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
