Engine News, SEBD9606, 21 September 2009, "A New Gasket and Hardware Are Used for the Water Lines In Some 3500 and G3500 Engines". Disregard this article. refer to the article that follows.Description of Change: A new gasket and new hardware is used for the covers and adapter blocks. The new gasket has an improved temperature capability. New hardware is also used for increased bolt stretch in order to maintain the integrity of the joint for the cover.Note: The spacers are not needed for the adapter blocks.Adaptable To: The old 241-3283 Gasket has been replaced by the new 341-9211 Gasket. The new gasket is a direct replacement for the old gasket.The 0S-1594 Bolts have been replaced with the 2A-4639 Bolt and 1L-5081 Spacers that are used in the 7N-7878 Cover Plates.

Use of the 341-9211 Gasket will result in cracking of the 8N-0788 Cover.
