Check the oil level of the transmission under the following conditions:
The transmission oil is warmed to operating temperature.
The engine is at LOW IDLE.
The transmission is in NEUTRAL.
The vehicle is on level ground.Also read the Oil Level Check instruction in the Transmission Control section which explains the Shift Pad function while the oil level is being determined. Table 1 of the Transmission Control story in this publication provides a description of the Shift Pad characters for checking the transmission oil.

(1) Filler tube
Remove dipstick (1) and check the oil level with engine running and the oil warm and the transmission in the NEUTRAL position. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.

(A) 30 0.5 mm (1.2 0.02 inch) (B) 30 0.5 mm (1.2 0.02 inch) (C) 167 1 mm (7 0.04 inch)
The dipstick should be marked as shown in Illustration 2.
Add oil if necessary. Maintain the proper oil level.
Install dipstick and recheck the oil level.
