Personal injury can result from the sudden release of high pressure oil.Be sure the engine has been shut off for a minimum of five minutes to be sure that the accumulator pressure is zero.The accumulator is filled with dry nitrogen. Do not loosen or remove the valve or cap from the top of the accumulator. A bleed screw at the bottom of the accumulator can be used to release the pressure that is left in the system.
Note: Put identification on all lines, on all hoses and on all wires for installation purposes. Plug all lines and all hoses. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Note: The ride control accumulator is located inside the loader frame in the area, as shown.
Apply the parking brake.

Raise the lift arms off the ground by approximately 1.5 m (5 ft). Place Tooling (A) under the lift arms, as shown.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release" for the correct procedure.

Remove four nuts (1) and cover (2) .

Disconnect hose assembly (3) .
Disconnect electrical harness (6) .
Remove nut (4), the washer and solenoid (5) from valve (8) .
Remove valve (8) from manifold (7) .
Remove two clamp bolts (9). (The rear clamp is shown.)
Carefully remove accumulator (10) .Installation Procedure
Personal injury or death can result from improper accumulator charging.Dry nitrogen is the only gas approved for use in the accumulator. Charging the accumulator with oxygen gas will cause an explosion. This danger will not happen if nitrogen cylinders with standard CGA Compressed Gas Association, Inc.Number 580 connections are used.When ordering nitrogen gas, be sure that the cylinders are equipped with CGA Number 580 Connections. Do not use color codes or other methods of identification to tell the difference between nitrogen and oxygen cylinders.Never use an adapter to connect your nitrogen charging group to a valve outlet used on both nitrogen, oxygen or other gas cylinders. Be sure you use dry nitrogen (99.8 % purity).

Install accumulator (10) .
Install two clamp bolts (9). (The rear clamp is shown.)
Install valve (8) on manifold (7). The torque for valve (8) is 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft).
Install solenoid (5), the washer and nut (4) on valve (8). The torque for nut (4) is 14 2 N m (124 18 lb in).
Connect electrical harness (6) .
Connect hose assembly (3) .

Install cover (2) and four nuts (1) .

Raise the lift arms and remove Tooling (A) .End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
