DISC ASSEM. 8S6325 - Caterpillar

Note: This sensor is found on machines that are equipped with the steel mill attachment.This diagnostic code CID 1965 is associated with the tilt cylinder position sensor. The FMI 13 means that the ECM has determined that the signal of the sensor is not within expected limits.The possible causes of this diagnostic code are listed below:
The sensor needs to be calibrated.
The ECM has been flashed with new software.
The sensor has failed.
The ECM has failed.Test Step 1. CHECK THE CALIBRATION
Perform the necessary adjustment and calibration procedures. Refer to the Testing and Adjusting section of the Service Manual for these procedures.
Observe the status of the diagnostic code CID 1965 FMI 13. Expected Result:The diagnostic code CID 1965 FMI 13 is not active.Results:
OK - The CID 1965 FMI 13 is not active. The calibration corrected the condition that caused the CID 1965 FMI 13. Resume normal operation.STOP
NOT OK - The CID 1965 FMI 13 is still active.Repair: The diagnostic code CID 1965 FMI 13 is still active. Verify that the correct software has been flashed into the ECM, or that the correct ECM is installed on the machine. Repeat the calibration procedure for the sensor. Replace the lift cylinder position sensor if the second calibration procedure is not successful. For removal of the lift cylinder position sensor, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, REHS2808, "Tilt Postion Control - Remove and Install".STOP
