All Generator Sets With The Electronic Modular Control PanelDescription of Change: A customer interface module is now available as an attachment with the EMCP (Electronic Modular Control Panel) on all generator sets. The interface module provides an interface between the EMCP and customer-supplied remote alarms and/or annunciators. This is required by fire regulations in some building services applications. The interface module decodes engine alarm, fault, and status information on the EMCP serial data link, and activates a set of isolated relay contacts.
Adaptable To: The interface module can be added to earlier generator sets with the EMCP, which has been a standard item since 1986. Order a 9Y6496 Control Group-Interface Module. This group includes a 9Y6497 Relay Board Assembly and the 9X0203 Electronic Control Group. A 9Y9892 Wiring Diagram comes with the relay board. The relay board and the electronic control are shipped loose for later installation. The same wiring diagram is also depicted in the illustration for use if future service work is needed. It is not on any decals or published elsewhere at this time.
Connect the wiring between the relay board and the electronic control group as shown in the wiring diagram, even through the wire numbers and the connector numbers on the electronic control group are not the same numbers.
