Description of Change: The service magazine article in the above reference has incorrect information. On page 13, the sound level should be changed from 78 dB to 81 dB. Disregard the sentence that reads "If the sound blanket is installed, the operator sound pressure level for this machine is 75 dB (A)."The information in Operation & Maintenance Manual, SEBU6946, is incorrect. On page 15, the information in the section "Sound and Vibration Information", should be corrected to read as follows:
"The operator sound pressure level for this machine with a properly installed and maintained closed cab configuration is 81 dB (A)."
Measurement is obtained on a dynamic machine using the procedures and cab conditions as described in ISO 6394 or 86/662/EEC.
Adaptable To: The above changes are effective with 980G (2KR1-Up) Wheel Loaders.
