The pressure tap is located in the battery compartment. (1) Load sensing signal pressure
Connect a 60000 kPa (8600 psi) pressure gauge to pressure tap (1) .
Chock the wheels.
Start the engine.
Lower the left console.
Place the engine speed dial at the HIGH IDLE position.
Apply the wheel brakes by using the wheel brake pedal.Note: Do not lock the pedal.
Place the transmission in second gear.
Place the heavy lift switch in the OFF position.
Depress the travel pedal to the FORWARD position.
Check the pressure reading at pressure tap (1). The pressure should be 30500 to 31500 kPa (4420 to 4565 psi).
Depress the travel pedal to the REVERSE position.
Check the pressure reading at pressure tap (1). The pressure should be 30500 to 31500 kPa (4420 to 4565 psi).
If the pressure in either direction of travel is not set to the proper specification, check the pressure for the signal limiter valve, the line relief valve at the travel motor or the volume of the drain oil from the travel motor. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Signal Limiter) - Test and Adjust".
