Information:

Start By:a. disassemble all wheel drive motors 1. Attach a 6V-2157 Link Bracket and a hoist to the wheel as shown. Remove O-ring seal (1) from the wheel. Remove lockring (2) from the wheel spindle. Use a magnet to remove dowel (3) from the wheel spindle. When locknut (4) is removed, bearing (5) and wheel (6) will be loose. Caution should be used to ensure that these components do not fall off of the spindle. The components could be damaged if dropped.2. Use Tooling (A) to remove locknut (4) from the spindle. Remove bearing (5) and wheel (6) from spindle (7). The bearing is slip fit. Weight of the wheel is 70 Kg (155 lb). 3. Remove race (8) and race (9) from wheel (6). Remove Duo-Cone Seal (10) from the spindle housing. 4. Remove inner bearing (11) from spindle (7). Remove Duo-cone seal (12) from wheel (6). The bearing is a slip fit. 5. Remove four bolts (15) from cover (14). Remove cover (14) from spindle arm (13). 6. Put identification marks on four hydraulic hoses (20) for installation purposes. Disconnect the fittings on the hoses from spindle arm (13). Plug the fittings to prevent the loss of oil, and to keep dirt out of the hydraulic oil system. Remove cotter pins and nuts (18) from steering cylinder (19) and tie rod (17). Remove the tie rod end from the spindle arm. Remove the cylinder rod end from the spindle arm. Remove seal (23) and washer (24) from tie rod end (17) and cylinder rod end (19).7. Remove bolt and washer (16) from the upper pin. Remove bolt (22) from the lower pin. The upper and lower pins secure spindle assembly (13) to lean arm (21).
Lower Spindle Joint
(25) Lip seal. (26) Bearing sleeve. (27) O-ring seal. (28) Retainer seal. (29) pin. (22) bolt.
Upper Spindle Joint
(30) bearing sleeve. (16) bolt and washer. (31) pin. (32) Retaining seal. (33) O-ring seal. (35) Grooved washer. (34) Two smooth washers. Use two people to remove spindle (13). After pins (29) and (31) are removed the spindle will have to be loosened from the leaning arm with a soft faced mallet. Be sure to note the location of retaining seals (28) and (32), O-ring seals (27) and (33), washers (34) and (35), pins (29) and (31) and lip seal (25) for installation purposes.8. Attach a lifting sling and a hoist to wheel spindle (13) as shown. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove upper pin (31) from the upper spindle joint. Use the same tooling in order to pull lower pin (29) from the lower spindle joint. Remove wheel spindle (13). The weight of the wheel spindle is 65 Kg (145 lb). 9. The pins in the upper and lower spindle joints are the same. Remove metal seal ring (36) from both pins. 10. Remove bearing sleeve (30). 11. Remove lip seal (25). Remove bearing sleeve (26).12. Perform Steps 1 through 11 in order to remove the other front wheel spindle.
