2. Remove linkage pin (1) for the speed and direction interlock.3. Install two 3/8"-16 NC forged eyebolts in the shifter fork housing. Fasten a hoist. 4. Remove twelve nuts (2) and lockwasher that hold the shifter fork housing in place.5. Remove shifter fork housing (3). The weight is 49.5 kg (110 lb.).Install Shifter Fork Housing
1. Install two 3/8"-16 NC forged eyebolts and fasten a hoist to the shifter fork housing. Put shifter fork housing (1) in position as shown. Engage each fork with its collar on the pinion shaft. Install the shifter fork housing.2. Install the lockwashers and nuts that hold the shifter fork housing in place. 3. Install pin (2) for the interlock linkage.4. Put oil in the transmission and bevel gear housing. See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE.end by:a) install shifting gate and housingDisassemble Shifter Fork Housing
start by:a) remove shifter fork housing 1. Remove four bolts (1) and speed and direction interlock housing (2) from the shifter fork housing. If the interlock housing must be disassembled and assembled, see SPEED AND DIRECTION RANGE INTERLOCK MECHANISM. 2. Remove three springs (3) and the three plungers. The center plunger is shorter than the other two plungers. 3. Remove end cover (4) for the rails from the shifter fork housing. Remove the gasket. Put identification on all parts for correct assembly. 4. Cut the lockwires and remove bolts (6) and (13) that hold the shifter forks and arms in place.5. Remove rail (9), fork (5), arm (7) and spacer (8) from shifter fork housing (15).6. Remove rail (10), spacer (11), arm (12) and fork (14) from shifter fork housing (15). 7. Remove cover (21) and the gasket from the shifter fork housing.8. Cut the lockwires and remove bolts (22) and (23) that hold the shifter fork and arm in place.9. Remove rail (17), fork (16), spacer (18), arm (19) and spacer (20) from housing (15). 10. Remove bolts (24) and plate (25) from housing (15). Remove the shims if there are any.Assemble Shifter Fork Housing
1. Install plate (2) and the shims in the housing. Use the shims as needed to remove restriction between the plate and the arm on the center rail. Install the locks and bolts (1) that hold the plate in place. 2. Slide bottom rail (3) into the shifter fork housing and through spacer (7), arm (6), spacer (5) and fork (4) as shown. All the lockwires are to be 20.3 2.5 cm (8 1 in.) in length.3. Make an alignment of the threaded holes in the rail with the holes in the fork and arm. Install the two bolts and the lockwires that hold the arm and fork in place. 4. Install end cover (12).5. Slide center rail (16) into the shifter fork housing and through fork (15), arm (14) and spacer (13).6. Install top rail (11) into the shifter fork housing and through spacer (10), arm (9) and fork (8).7. Make an alignment of the threaded holes in the rails with the holes
