Accumulated grease and oil on an attachment is a fire hazard.Remove debris with steam cleaning or high pressure water at any time a significant quantity of oil is spilled on the attachment.
Note: Watch closely for leaks. If you observe leakage, find the source of the leak and correct the leak. If you observe leakage, check the fluid levels more frequently.Walk-Around Inspection of Mechanical Actuated Fan

Typical Mechanical Actuated Fan
Inspect fan blades (1) for damage or for excessive wear. Replace the blades, if necessary.
Make sure that the blades rotate smoothly and that the blades are secured to the fan hub. Tighten any loose bolts. Replace missing bolts.
Inspect hub assembly (2), bearing carrier assembly (3), pulleys (4) and (5) and bracket assembly (6) for leaks or damage. Correct any leaks. Replace a component, if necessary.
Inspect mounting bracket (7) for damage. Replace the bracket, if necessary.
Inspect control shaft (8) for damage. Replace the control shaft, if necessary.
Inspect actuator (9) for damage. Replace the actuator, if necessary.
Inspect the operator fork and pin (10) for damage. Replace the operator fork and/or the pin, if necessary.
Inspect the lubrication lines and grease fittings for leaks. Replace any lines or fittings, if necessary.Walk-Around Inspection of Hydraulic Actuated Fan
