At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the hydraulic system before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows:a. Shut off the engine.b. Move the control levers through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.c. Slowly loosen the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.d. Tighten the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank.e. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed. 1. Start the engine and extend the load cylinder all the way.2. Put tooling (A) under the draft frame on both sides of the machine as shown. 3. Put tooling (B) under the front of the tractor as shown.
Do not disconnect lines or remove plugs in the cushion hitch circuit until the engine has been shut off for a minimum of five minutes to let oil pressure in the accumulator go down to zero.
4. Remove nut (3) from the front of the servo cylinder. Remove bolts (4) from the servo cylinder bracket assembly.5. Disconnect hoses (1).6. Remove grease lines (5).7. Remove clamps (2) from the wiring harness. 8. Disconnect two wiring harness (6).9. Remove clamps (7) from the wiring harness. Pull electrical cable (8) forward. 10. Disconnect hose assemblies (10) on each side of the gooseneck.11. Remove two bolts (9) and bracket on each side of the cushion hitch.12. Disconnect two grease lines (11) from lower "H" link. 13. Disconnect hoses (12) from the cushion hitch cylinder. Disconnect linkage (13) from the spring assembly. Remove bolts (15), spring and bracket assembly (16).14. Disconnect grease lines (14).15. Fasten a hoist to the cushion hitch load cylinder.
When the lower pin for the "H" link is removed, a separation of the tractor and scraper is made. Make sure tooling (A) and (B) are in the correct positions under the machine. Put wood blocks in front and behind all four tires so the machine does not move.
Typical Example16. Remove the bolts and retainers (17) that hold the front pin for the cushion hitch "H" links and cushion hitch load cylinder.
Typical Example17. Pull front pin (18) out of the cushion hitch until the cushion hitch load cylinder is free. Remove the cushion high load cylinder. Weight of the cylinder is 62 kg (138 lb).Install Cushion Hitch Load Cylinder
Typical Example1. Fasten a hoist to load cylinder (1) and put it in position in the cushion hitch.2. Push the lower front pin into the cushion hitch and through the load cylinder. Make sure there is a washer between "H" link and cushion hitch on both sides of the machine. Install the two retainers that hold the pin.
Typical Example3. Install two bolts (3) that hold the bracket for the hydraulic hoses that are fastened to the side of the cushion hitch.4.
