When reporting the repair, use "PS43299" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code.If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

PROBLEM
The existing J1939 communication wires on some 289-2491 Engine Harness were incorrectly wired. The wires at pins 31 and 32 at the customer connector (40 Pin) on 289-2491 Engine Harness may have been inverted. The J1939 will not function correctly.

ACTION REQUIRED
Locate the customer connector (40 Pin) on the left hand side of the engine.
Remove the wires from pins 31 and 32 and relocate the wires to the correct pin location at the customer connector (40 Pin).

Pin 31 F711-GN J1939 CAN DATA LINK (+)
Pin 32 F712-GY J1939 CAN DATA LINK (-)
