Information:

Be sure the engine has been shutoff for a minimum of five minutes to be sure that the accumulator oil pressure is zero. The accumulator is filled with dry nitrogen. Do not loosen or remove the valve or cap from the top of the accumulator. A Bleed screw at the bottom of the accumulator can be used to release any pressure that is left in the system. Failure to follow the procedures can result in personal injury.
Remove & Install Accumulator-Brake
1. Remove five bolts (1) and cover (2). 2. Disconnect two hose assemblies (3). Fasten a lifting devise to bracket (4).3. Remove bolts (5) that hold bracket (4) to the cab. Remove brake accumulators (6). For installation of the brake accumulators, reverse the removal steps. Charge the nitrogen system when the installation is complete.
