Note: Keep the soot antenna and the harness assembly connections clean from contaminates. To prevent contaminates from entering the connections, always plug or cap the connections when disconnected.
Disconnect harness assembly (3) from soot antenna (4) .

Remove soot antenna (4) from diesel particulate filter (5) .Note: Keep the soot antenna and the harness assembly connections clean from contaminates. To prevent contaminates from entering the connections, always plug or cap the connections when disconnected.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for the opposite side of diesel particulate filter (5) .Installation Procedure
Install soot antennas (4) in the reverse order of removal.Note: Keep the soot antenna and the harness assembly connections clean from contaminates. To prevent contaminates from entering the connections, always plug or cap the connections when disconnected.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of soot antennas (4). Tighten soot antennas (4) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).
Hand tighten harness assemblies (3) when connecting to soot antennas (4) .
