Weld seven weld bosses (1) using a 3 mm (0.12 inch) all around fillet weld. Weld one link (2) onto the right side of the fuel tank using a 3 mm (0.12 inch) a flare bevel weld. Refer to Illustrations 4 and 5.

Remove and retain 116-2041 Guard (AA), 124-9325 Fuel Level Sensor Gp (AB), 6V-5051 O-Ring Seal (AC), and 3E-7753 Float Assembly (AD).
Reorient float assembly (AD) so that the steel insert is pointing up at the top surface of the tank and insert the float back into the internal tube. Use O-Ring seal (AC), fuel level sensor group seal (AB), and guard (AA) to complete the reorientation. Secure the sensor connector inside the guard. The re-installed sensor is not connected, but is required to close the opening.Note: Install so the seals and guard are positioned in the same manner as the seals and guard were prior to removal.

Remove and discard the 187-1679 Cover , 3E-6773 O-Ring Seal , 8T-4121 Hard Washers , and 8T-4136 Bolts .
Install adapter assembly (3), O-Ring seal (4), hard washers (5), and bolts (6) .
Install fuel level sensor group (7) on to adapter assembly (3) .
Install clip (8) using one hard washer (5) and one bolt (6) .
Attach the sensor connector from fuel level sensor group (7) to clip (8) and secure the sensor harness using one cable strap (9) .
Connect sensor harness assembly (10) to the sensor connector.
Route sensor harness assembly (10) and secure in place using two cable tie mountings (11), two cable straps (9), two studs (12), two hard washers (5), and two nuts (13) .

Install bracket assembly (14) using two bolts (6) and two hard washers (5) .
Install plate (15) using two nuts (13) and two hard washers (5) .

Route sensor harness assembly (10) down along the right side of the fuel tank. Secure sensor harness assembly (10) to the welded link using a cable strap (9). Secure sensor harness assembly in seven places using one cable tie mounting (11), cable strap (9), bolt (6), and hard washer (5) at each location.

Route sensor harness assembly (10) down along the right side of the fuel tank and connect CR-C3 (AE) into the fuel/water separator connector.
Secure sensor harness assembly (10) using one cable tie mounting (11), cable strap (9), bolt (6), and hard washer (5) .
Install plate assembly (16) and secure sensor harness assembly (10) using one cable tie mounting (11), cable strap (9), bolt (17), and hard washer (5) .
Secure the pigtail for the fuel/water separator using one spacer (18), cable tie mounting (11), cable strap (9), bolt
