Remove O-ring seals (29) from the two covers.

Remove actuator (30) from the piston pump.

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Position the actuator in a hydraulic press. Apply pressure to the actuator with the press. The following steps show the disassembly of the actuator.
Remove retainer (31) and remove retaining ring (32) .

Remove the following components from each end of the rod: bushing (33), springs (34), (35), and (36), retainer (37) and spacer (38). Remove the O-ring seals from bushings (33) .

Remove two retainers (39) from rod (40). Remove O-ring seal (41) .
The following procedure is used to disassemble the rotator of the piston pump:

Use a press to compress spring (42) .
Remove retaining ring (43) .
Carefully release the tension on spring (42). Remove the spring and seats (44) and (45) from the rotator.
The following procedure is used to disassemble the head of the piston pump:

Remove bushing (46) .
Remove bushings (47) and (48) from the head.
Remove five plugs (49) .
Remove seal (50) .

Remove the pressure compensator valve (51) .
If necessary, remove two O-ring seals (52) .
If necessary, remove plug (53) .
Remove relief valve (54) .
Remove two makeup valves (55) .

The following procedure is used to disassemble pressure compensator valve (51) .
Mark the settings on the following parts for reference at assembly: adjustment screw (56), plug (57) and locknut (67). Remove O-ring seal (66) .
Remove spring (58) and remove two retainers (65) .
Remove pistons (59), (60), and (64) .
Remove valve spool (61) .
Remove seat (62) .
Remove O-ring seal (63) .

The following procedure is used to disassemble relief valve (54) .
Remove nut (73) and remove O-ring seal (75).
Remove plug (68) and remove O-ring seal (69).
Remove the following components: adjustment screw (74), valve spool (70), retainer (71) and spring (72).
