Information:

1. Remove cover (1).
The adjuster cylinder for the track is under high hydraulic pressure. Do not visually inspect the relief valve to see if grease is released when it is opened. Check the adjuster cylinder to see that it moves to the rear into the front pilot of the recoil spring.
2. Loosen the track as follows: a) Turn relief valve (2) one turn counterclockwise to permit grease to be released from the vent hole below the relief valve. If the track does not loosen, go to Step b.b) Turn fill valve (3) one turn counterclockwise to permit grease to be released from the vent hole below the fill valve. If the track still does not loosen, start the machine and move it forward and backward. If grease is still not released, go to Step c.c) Install a slug that is 3 in. (76.2 mm) in diameter and 2.5 in. (63.5 mm) long between the track and sprocket segment. Make sure the slug makes contact with a track bushing. Move the machine to the rear so the track will be pushed up by the bar. This will put tension on the track and move the front idler and track adjuster to the rear against the force of the recoil spring. This will push grease out of the vent holes. 3. Use tooling (A) to remove master pin (4).4. Fasten a hoist to the track and remove the track from the sprocket, carrier roller and front idler.5. Lift the machine with tooling (B) off of the track. Install tooling (C) under the machine. Remove tooling (B).6. Remove the track from under the machine.Connection Of Tracks
1. Put the track in position under the track roller frame. 2. Put tool (A) in position under the first track shoe.3. Fasten a hoist to the other end of the track and install the track over the front idler, carrier roller and sprocket.4. Install master pin (1) with tooling (B). Remove tool (A).5. Use tooling (C) to lift the machine and then remove tooling (D).6. Lower the machine with tooling (C). Remove tooling (C).7. Make an adjustment to the track. On machines with
