Install O-ring seal (7). Install Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device to final drive (5). The weight of final drive (5) is approximately 5440 kg (12000 lb). Install final drive (5).

Apply Tooling (C) to new bolts (6). Install new bolts (6). Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 1400 175 N m (1032 129 lb ft). Then, tighten bolts (6) for an additional 120° 10° in an alternating sequence.

Install fitting (2). Connect tube assemblies (1), (3), and (4). End By:
Install the axle shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle Shaft - Install".
Install the tire and rim. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim - Install".
Purge the air from the brake system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Brake System Air- Purge".
