WHEEL LOADER,
Information:
An alarm alerts you as the machine approaches an avoidance zone.Avoidance zones are areas that you must avoid. Avoidance zones can be sitewide, or avoidance zones can be specific to a particular design surface. If all machine dimensions are entered correctly, Cat Compaction Control will give guidance to points in front and behind the drum. Cat Compaction Control provides avoidance zone detection for the machine based off the given machine dimensions.Avoidance Zones on the Job Site
When the system is turned on, avoidance zones for the site are automatically loaded. Then, the avoidance zones are displayed in the plan view. Detection of the avoidance zones is provided until the display is turned off.Note: If the Avoidance Zone cannot load, the display will be turned off. The avoidance zone must be removed from the display in order to continue operation. Contact your supervisor immediately.Design Avoidance Zones
Design avoidance zones are specific to a design surface. Avoidance zones for the job site are loaded when the design is loaded.Design avoidance zones are shown in the Plan View of the Display. Detection of the avoidance zone is provided while the design surface remains loaded.Note: If the Design Avoidance Zone cannot load, the selected design will not be loaded, select an alternative design surface in order to continue. Contact your supervisor immediately. No Guidance to the Avoidance Zone
Due to the nature of wireless communications and government controlled navigation systems, satellite timing signals may be lost, inaccurate, or of poor signal strength. The availability of satellite-based positioning signals is beyond the control of both, the user and Caterpillar. Diagnostics to detect low accuracy or the loss of signal provide warnings to the operator. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death.
While any of the following messages are displayed, avoidance zone guidance is not given:
"V. Low Accuracy"
"No GPS Data"
"Old Position"
"No GPS Receiver Data"
"Invalid GPS" Data
"Low Accuracy (Move)"If any of the above messages appear, the following alerts are activated:
The "NO AVOID" indicator appears on the guidance screens.
The "Avoid. Dist." text item, if configured, appears as "N/A".For more information on GPS quality, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, KEBU7578, "Flashing Messages".Alert Levels
Avoidance zones may have terrain or obstructions that may damage the machine.
As the machine approaches an avoidance zone, three alert levels are given.Note: Your supervisor sets the alert distance for the avoidance zone. This distance can vary with the selected machine type. Consult your supervisor for the alert distance of the avoidance zone.If you are within three times the alert distance, the following alerts are activated:

(1) Avoidance Zone
(2) Distance and Direction of Avoidance Zone
The avoidance zone becomes filled with a magenta color.
If configured, the "Avoid. Dist." text item shows the distance and direction to the closest design boundary of the avoidance zone.Once you are inside the configured alert distance, the following alerts are activated:
In the plan view, the machine icon flashes with an alert symbol.
The "Avoid" indicator appears in the bottom right corner of all guidance screens.
A beeper will beep
