Labor allowance will be credited at cost. When completing the claim, use "7755" as the Group Number and "PS0259" as the Part Number. Termination Date

Problem
Some fabricated crossmembers between lift arms on 950B and 966D Loaders are cracking. This can be caused by either the mode of operation or weld problems in the fabricated crossmember. A stronger one-piece cast crossmember is used in current production. The cast crossmember, premachined for parts service, can be installed on the affected product.

Action Required

Parts Disposition
Dispose of the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. PROCEDURE FOR REPLACING LIFT ARM CROSSMEMBERS ON 950B, 966D LOADERS This Procedure will use the machine frame and bucket to position the lift arms for both removal and installation (tack welding) of the crossmember. Use the Disassembly and Assembly Service Manual module (SENR2265) for 950B Wheel Loader Vehicle Systems for component removal and installation. 1. Put bucket flat on the ground. 2. Remove bucket positioner and kickout controls. 3. Fasten a hoist to tilt cylinder; then remove the pin from the rod end of the cylinder. Rotate the cylinder so the rod end is turned up. Securely fasten the cylinder in this position so it is out of the way and so it does not move. 4. Disconnect the tilt link from the tilt lever. (Do not remove the tilt link from the bucket.) Use a hoist to remove the tilt lever from the crossmember. 5. Put flame-proof material over the cylinder rods, cylinder lines and cab glass. 6. Position hoist above center of gravity of crossmember to prevent unexpected movement of crossmember when it is cut loose from lift arms. Attach hoist to the crossmember. Cut the crossmember loose from
