(5) Key switch The cabinet for the flywheel in a MMS configuration contains a front panel (2). The front panel (2) consists of the following components: EPO button (4) and key switch (5).The key switch (5) has the following modes:
Bypass
On-line
ResetThe EPO button (4) on the front panel (1) of an MMS opens the circuit breakers (K1 and K2). The EPO button (4) also removes power from the multiple module unit (MMU) cabinet.Removal Procedure (Control)
Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, UENR3954, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (Flywheel Cabinet)" in order to shut down the system and gain access to internal components.
In order to access the key switch and/or the module for the EPO, open the left cabinet door.
Remove the wires that are attached to the key switch and/or the module for the EPO. Installation Procedure (Control)
Verify the orientation of the key switch and/or the module for the EPO before installation.
For the push button (EPO), install the button face and the clear shield onto the base unit.
Install the module through the front of the cabinet door. Set the module in place.

Wire connections for the key switch and/or module for the EPO
Attach the wires to the module. Verify the labeling of the wires with the location of the wires. Refer to Illustration 3 for the wire connections.
