1. Torque the bolts to 875 125 N m (645 92 lb ft) in an alternating sequence that fasten the carrier assembly to the axle housing.
2. Turn each bolt by an additional 120 10 degrees in an alternating sequence.    
2     25     283-5692 Bolt     Torque to
1000 125 N m (738 92 lb ft).    
3     30     6V-3532 Bolt     Torque to
530 70 N m (390 51 lb ft).    
4     1     310-5378 Bevel Gear Set     Assembled backlash is
0.40 0.12 mm (0.016 0.005 inch).    
5     1     273-1867 Nut     Tighten the four 159-3046 Bolts of the locknut to
28 7 N m (248 62 lb in).    
6     1     133-4296 Lip Type Seal     Lubricate the sealing lip lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.    
7     4     -     Tighten the bolts that fasten the bearing caps to the carrier assembly to
1800 200 N m (1328 148 lb ft)after the gear and the shroud have been properly adjusted.    
8     1     367-9752 Bracket     Adjust bracket and shroud to achieve equal clearance between the shroud and gears on all sides.
